My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ledge previously lived in a home and was returned to our group with Demus through no fault of her own. She is a total love bug who enjoys nothing more than a good neck rub and a warm bed. She’s sweet and affectionate and would love to sleep on your bed (but is quite content with sleeping on her own). She likes a good pet and likes to have her ears rubbed. She’ll often “encourage” you to pet her more by pawing at you. She can be playful and loves the squeaker toys with no audible squeak. She loves treats of all kinds including broccoli and carrots (either raw or cooked). She also likes gnawing on a good antler. She’s never barked while she’s awake – only when she’s dreaming. She can be a bit mischievous. She loves to get up and get Demus up to get a treat or move him so she can steal the “good” bed. She loves to lie outside in the sunshine.
Ledge is good on a leash, but can be a bit pokey and stubborn when she smells something worth smelling. She loves going on long walks, but can get spooked if someone or something comes up behind her quickly. She is not fond of kids that come up to her at the park and will often pull away from them. She would likely not be good with small kids in a home setting.
She and Demus love to be together, but they aren’t super affectionate toward each other. She tends not to recognize dogs that don’t look like greyhounds. While she did well with cat testing, she has never lived with a cat, so caution is advised. She would be a good part of an established pack. Between her and Demus she is definitely the alpha.

Foster Home Update: Ledge is a very sweet girl. She is more independent, but loves to get petted and have attention. She can be a little hesitant in the beginning, but warms up once she settles in. She does very well with small animals and cats, but would do better in a home without small children because she is unsure around them. She loves to go on walks and is a very good walker. She lets me brush and clean her teeth easily. She also loves to be rubbed down with a dog brush. She is such a sweet girl! She would make such a wonderful companion.
