My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Demus previously lived in a home and was returned to our group with Ledge through no fault of his own. Demus is a loveable, sweet boy. He is calm and reserved and could use another greyhound to keep him out of his shell. He is content to have a good nap and a nice pet. If you are petting him and he’s lying down, he’ll often throw his arm over you so you can’t stop. He loves to have his ears rubbed. We have never heard him bark when he's been awake. Like Legend, he seems to do it only when he's sleeping. He will whine at you if he wants attention.
Demus has been known to race around the backyard after morning “doo-ty” but is not super playful. He likes stuffies, but it’s short lived even when he finds one he really likes. He is shy about taking treats and will often wait until Ledge has had hers – which means sometimes she has his, too. He will keep coming back for his favorites though and is a huge fan of broccoli and carrots (either raw or cooked). He loves chewing on antlers and on the Yak milk bones.
Demus is the more shy of the pair. He is timid around strangers and will often try to hide behind one of us if he is approached on a walk. He goes absolutely bananas when we suggest walks and often needs quieting down before he gets his leash on. He loves walking with our dog walker and appreciates different settings. He is a good walker and rarely stops to smell things (unless Ledge is also smelling it). He is alert and attentive and really just wants to be doing what everyone else is doing!

Foster Home Update: Demus is a very social boy. He will follow you from room to room sometimes because he loves affection and attention. He listens well, but is hesitant when unsure about a situation. He loves to run around the yard and prances around when he thinks you are going for a walk. He is a very good walker. He has a calm personality and does very well with small dogs and cats. He lets me brush and clean his teeth very easily. He also likes to be rubbed down with a dog brush. He is such a sweet boy. I think he would be happier in a home that does not have small children because he does not know what to expect from children. He would make a wonderful companion.
