Lulu's Story...
Name: Lulu
Breed: Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Female

Lulu is a 35 pound Terrier mix, a quieter and polite little girl who was really defeated at the shelter... she hated the noise and the rowdy dogs and the fear, and is so relieved to now be in a foster home. She is house trained, crate trained, walks well on the leash and is seeking a home to help her relearn how to trust and love. She soaks up affection and loves to sit near you and be petted and cuddled. Lulu is used to cats, does well with other dogs, and seems to enjoy the kids who visit. So far she tends to be more of a 'hang out near you' dog than a real playful girl, but hopefully as she feels more comfortable she'll start to show some. Lulu is not available until she arrives on Aug 24 and we are looking to see if anyone wants to do a 'foster to adopt' with her, where they take her home right when she arrives as a foster dog with intent to adopt if she is the right match.

Requirements: Home (not apartment) and no other female dogs in the home

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lulu, a Minneapolis Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
