My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sasha was only three days old when we met her at the shelter and took her into rescue. Her previous owners brought her in after her mom tried to bite off one of her back legs and a piece of her tail. The shelter vet fell in love with Sasha and immediately took her into surgery. While she wasn't able to reattach her leg, the amputation saved Sasha's life and thanks to her and Sasha's amazing foster family,
we now have this adorable "tripod" German Shepherd puppy as a part of the Ruff Start family! At 9 weeks old, approximately 8lbs and lovingly referred to as Sasha Tres (three), she is flourishing! Her favorite activities include, running in the backyard, playing with her stuffed toys, nibbling toes and getting into mischief! Sasha was raised in foster with dogs, cats and kids and loves everyone! Miss Tres is making great strides with potty training but because she is still strengthening her back leg it will be a longer, more unique process and her new family should be prepared to continue working with her. Sasha is also doing great with her crate training! Sasha has been dewormed and is microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccines (she will need to be spayed at 6 months of age) If interested in adopting Sasha please fill out an application at ruffstarthappytails.org
