Hi! My name is Fester. I am a little kooky but I am a very good boy and I don’t come with dynamite or put lightbulbs in my mouth. I had been lost out in the Bermuda Triangle, so hungry and cold that I would have eaten nails and may have jumped into fire if I had found some. Then a nice lady found me and I was Rescued by Mutts and Mayhem. "I didn't become what I am by accident! I had an upbringing like no other!", but I’ve never talked about it and I don’t really want to start now.
I am a little scared of strangers, but I gain their trust pretty quickly when I know they aren't going to hurt me. I love to give kisses and lick you to death, but only if I know you for a little bit first.
I am electrically energetic and talkative and sometimes my outgoing personality and my talking scares other dogs. I do not go to dog parks and my walks are carefully monitored for other dogs simply because I possess 110 watts of power and I get way too excited! Although I never went to school (“And look how well I turned out”), I would be up to going on such an educational endeavor. If I received some training, I would probably control my excitement better. I know several tricks, but Foster care is the first time I remember being on a leash so I am working on mastering the skill.
I am quite fond of the kitty creatures. I like to snuggle with them and I am super gentle. No need to worry, I don’t aim slingshots at them. In fact, some rescue kitties use to live with me in my foster home, and I would help keep them warm and nudge them with my nose.
Despite their frequent naughtiness, I do like children. But I need to get to know new children that I am introduced to before I will lick their face and exhibit love and loyalty towards them.
Although I am crate trained, I am currently allowed to free roam inside the house when my foster family is away from home. I am really “chill” when I am at home and I don’t have separation anxiety issues.
I love treats and love to play. I don’t need to possess a battleaxe in order to be happy…just a loving family to spoil me and to give me plenty of opportunity for exercise. I like to be with my humans more than I love anything else…even more than three-dollar bills! I need a mommy, daddy or family to understand my special needs and to offer me structure, patience and kindness. Someone who will avoid putting me in situations that may cause trouble for me. If you would like to light up my life by being my forever family, please get in touch with a Mutts and Mayhem Adoption Coordinator.

About Mutts & Mayhem

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide for the rescue and relief of suffering or homeless animals and perform charitable or benevolent acts for the welfare of animals.

MMAR's mission is accomplished by providing appropriate shelter and humane care, providing medical, emotional and social rehabilitation, by providing a nurturing foster home environment, by seeking permanent, loving, responsible homes through adoption, reducing pet overpopulation through strict spay/neuter measures, and providing a diversity of humane education programs to the community. Our ultimate goal is to end the suffering and provide these animals with a second chance at life through love, compassion & adoption!

Through our research, we have discovered that many animals could have remained in their current homes instead of being surrendered to animal shelters or to the lonely, dangerous streets if only their owners had access to proper resources. Most often these are simple resources that could provide some friendly advice, temporary assistance or education. We hope to become a valuable resource for these owners who feel they have nowhere else to turn.

Not only do we specialize in rescuing the sick and injured, but we also assist in humanely reducing the number of feral cats in the community by gently trapping them, then providing shelter, sustenance, veterinary examination, inoculation, spaying/neutering and whenever possible, provide them with a forever home through adoption.

By working with our local shelters, committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue and save the lives of these precious animals that would otherwise be forgotten.

None of this would be possible without the love, support and monetary contributions & donations from people like you! No amount is too small...every single dollar makes a huge difference. Please help us!! Together, we can save them all! One dollar at a animal at a time!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Animal Rescue is a Foster based organizations as we do not yet have a brick and mortar shelter location. We are happy to schedule a "Meet & Greet" and/or an Adoption for one or more of our animals by appointment. We hold public adoption events periodically where you may meet our animals on the spot. These event dates and times are posted on the home page of our website.

Our Adoption Process...

UPDATED March 2015

Feline Adoption Fees
$100 <1 year
$80 <5 years
$50 >5 years

Canine Adoption Fees
$300 <1 year
$250 <3 years
$200 <5 years
$100 >5 years

Prior to an adoption, all of our animals will have received a thorough Veterinary exam, received treatment needed for any illnesses or injuries they may have incurred prior to their Rescue, they have been spayed or neutered, and they have been vaccinated and have been given Microchip IDs!

Our Adoption Fees range depending on the animal. Careful consideration is taken when determining this fee. We consider the animals’ previous medical expenses, length of time in our care, adopt-ability factors, future needs, etc. Each animals adoption’ fee will be listed within his/her profile information.

We wish that we could simply give our animals to their new adoptive family at zero cost. However, Mutts & Mayhem is a non profit organization who relies solely on individual donations and adoption fees to care for all of our animals on a day to day basis. The cost associated with treating and caring for each animal far outweighs the adoption fee that you pay for that animal through your adoption. Please keep all of this in mind if it seems to you that the adoption fee listed may be too high for that animal.

To be considered for adoption you need to:

•Be at least 18 years old.
•Have knowledge and consent of all adults living in your household
•Have a valid government-issued photo ID
•Have landlords consent to bring an animal onto the property (if applicable)
•Possess zero criminal convictions for Animal Cruelty, Animal Abuse, Family/Domestic Violence or Felony Violent Crimes.
•Understand that Mutts & Mayhem reserves the right to refuse the adoption of any animal to any person.

Through the adoption process, we will ask you to complete an adoption application and we will process it as promptly as possible. For dog adoptions, we do require a home visit prior to the final approval of an adoption application. After your adoption application has been approved, we will complete an adoption agreement with you that is signed by all parties.

After your adoption, if "anything" happens where you can no longer keep or care for the pet that you adopted from us, we will happily accept that animal back into our Rescue, no questions asked.
