Melissa's Story...
Melissa, Jan, Rebekah and Brenda all came to rescue along with 13 others from a back yard breeder. These four landed at River City Rescue. They are said to be schnauzer/silky terrier mixes. I have never encountered this mix in the past but they are sure cute. Melissa has a salt and pepper, wirey coat. She is said to be 1 -2 years old and weighs nearly 14 pounds. She is a sweet girl who will blossom in her own home. Melissa is up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm/flea preventative and is microchipped. Melissa's adoption fee is $200 with all vet work done.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melissa, a House Springs Schnauzer (Miniature)/Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Silky Terrier for sale in House Springs, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in House Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in House Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a House Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Silky Terrier breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in House Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
