My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Noah.

I am between four and five years old (I don’t know how to count) and my foster mom tells me I weigh about 16 pounds. I used to live in a faraway state in a place called a puppy mill. I don’t know what that is but I did not like it.

One day some people came and got me and then called Schnauzer Rescue of Cincinnati. I traveled what seemed like a really, really long way until I reached a place called the Ark. I stayed there until my foster mom came and got me.

Now I don’t like to brag, but my foster mom and all the people I meet tell me what a handsome guy I am. Well with such unanimous agreement, I am forced to take their word for it. Unfortunately I am not able to judge for myself.

See, my life didn’t start out all that great and it caused some issues with my eyes. I’m not blind but I can only see things right in front of me and even then, not all that great. My foster mom teases me by calling me Mr. Magoo (I don’t have the heart to tell her I have no idea who he is).

Now I don’t need anyone feeling sorry for me. My foster mom says I am a “can do” dog with a whole lot of courage and a really, really big heart.
So let me tell you what I can do (and what I really love, love, love to do).

I can go on really long walks in the park with you. I love the smells and the trees and the grass and all the other dogs and people I meet on the way. I can learn my way around the house and romp around a backyard. I can (and do so love) to romp and play with other dogs. I can go up the stairs (and was super-duper proud of myself when I first accomplished this!) but you have to carry me down.

And at the end of the day, I can snuggle up right next to you while you pet me and tell me all about your day.

I have a really big heart and a lot of courage. I am looking for someone who has a really big heart and will love me as I am. If you are that person, please come see me. I am ever so looking forward to a new adventure in my “furever” home.
