My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable puppy. They're so new and fresh with every possibility open to them. That's the case unless they're in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuers in saving Rain...she could see that her temperament was so loving and calm that she couldn't allow her to be euthanized before her life ever really started. Rain was immediately brought to be vetted and temperament tested...she passed both with flying colors and was brought to a great Houston foster home to begin her education around house manners and socialization. It turns out that Rain, at only 4 months old, is so over-the-top sweet and cooperative that it's been a fun and rewarding experience for her foster mom. She's like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around her. If Rain continues this regiment of socialization and classes that promote positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with her people...Rain will become a well-adjusted and loyal adult companion. Rain is a gorgeous puppy with a shining coat that speaks of good puppyish health. Her calm demeanor...yet very funny and engaging.. is just who she is. She's seems a bit wiser and more analytical than your average crazy puppy. If you pass her kindness assessment..Rain is your best friend and is very interested in some serious bonding including belly rubs and kisses on the nose. If Rain is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, she will become a well-adjusted dog who respects her people as her leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for Rain. Since she will be approximately 30 - 35 lbs when full-grown (it's said that her mom is a Standard Schnauzer), we also feel it's very important that Rain is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. She will be a perfect size to enjoy hiking and snowshoeing in the Colorado mountains. We'd also like a family who spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Rain can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community (she already enjoys it) and can therefore accompany her family just about anywhere. Rain will be arriving in Denver unfixed due to her very young age...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs at our vet in regard to Rain's spay, microchip and if there are any additional puppy shots she might require.
Rain appears to be a non-shedder and therefore will require great nutrition and periodic baths to keep her coat (with stunning touches of gold) silky-soft and healthy.

Rain is being fostered in Boulder, CO. If interested in this exceptional and very sweet companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
