Here's what the humans have to say about me:
What can we say about Albert that is not over-shadowed by his cuteness? Albert is a 7ish year old shih tzu that landed in a pit bull rescue. We love all breeds, and when we found him, we took two pit bull brothers in too.
This guy has obviously been loved at some point. He is good with ALL dogs and cats, is used to being groomed and melts into waist when you pick him up. He even loves kids. Very easy going and "go with the flow" kinda guy.
He has some sort (what the vet believes to be) genetic issue with his back, which causes him to walk "wobbly" and causes him to drag his feet when he tries to go fast. Otherwise, it causes him no pain, but he cannot jump well and we do not know if it will get worse as he ages. At this point it is holding steady, and can get up and down a few stairs. He had a dental and lost some teeth, but he eats kibble with probiotic yogurt (found in all grocery stores) with no argument. He is an older guy, so the good bacteria in his tummy needs some help to ensure he stays healthy. One dollop of yogurt is all he needs with a meal. He is a HAPPY, PEPPY boy and has LOTS of love and fun yet to share. This guy would do great in ANY home and when he lays down, just wants to be a lap dog. He is not the dog that wants or really can go for walks, but he is more than happy following you around the house and snoozing.
<p> All MVPC dogs are heart worm tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, crate trained and microchipped. Adoption fees are $200 for dogs under 8 months, and $175 for dogs older than 8 months.
