My story

Age: 9 years
Gender: Male
Color: Black & White
Weight: 51 lbs
Variety: Field

Meet our snuggle buddy, Oscar! This guy couldn't be happier if he lived in a sea of Milkbones. Oscar is the kind of dog that makes you smile just to look at him, because he is smiling, too!

Oscar came to ESRA from a shelter after his owner moved and couldn't take him along. He adjusted to his foster home quickly and has shown himself to be a lap dog. No laps are safe around Oscar!

Oscar recently attended a meet-and-greet event and loved everyone he met. He rides well in the car, is good around both dogs and cats, and is housetrained. Oscar previously lived with children. He will go into a crate, but he has earned free rein of the house when his foster family is gone.

Oscar romps around the yard with his foster siblings and doesn't show his age in the least. He's a little strong on the leash, but we think that's probably because he loves life so much! He knows the commands Sit and Stay, and he will Come when called. He was a calm gentleman when he was being groomed.

We have nothing but good things to say about this handsome boy. Contact Oscar's case managers to learn more about this gentle, loving dog.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Oscar.
