Joanie is a red Heeler (or red Australian Cattle dog) mix who is about a year old. You can't help but fall in love with her goofy personality and flying nun ears. She also has cute freckles on her face with a quirky smile. Joanie is very people oriented but loves to play with other dogs (although we're not yet sure of cats). She also likes children and will jump up but quickly corrects herself. Red Heelers in general, have a lot of energy, highly intelligent and have a independent streak. Joanie has those qualities except she is not so independent. She will watch you for cues as to what she should be doing or not doing. She does need plenty of exercise and a job to do such as participating in agility or learning tricks.
Joanie is looking for a loving family with a yard for her to run and exercise and play fetch. If you think you are the right home for JOANIE, please call her foster mom, Elise at 816-898-5646 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Joanie will be at the Petsmart at 115th and Metcalf on Saturdays from 11:30-3 p.m.
