Coco and Casper used to be next-door neighbors. Coco lived outside on a tie-out and Casper lived inside with his family. Coco kept breaking his tether to be with Casper. Casper's family occasionally let Coco come inside to play during inclement weather. Eventually, Coco's family let Coco move in with the neighbors and all was well. They lived happily together for a few years. Both boys are the same age, but they aren't brothers.
Tragedy struck and their owner passed away. No one in the family was prepared to take in 2 dogs and they were in danger of being sent to the shelter. We brought both boys into rescue during the fall of 2014. Initially, they were nervous in their new surroundings but they comforted each other and learned their new life.
Casper and Coco are mostly housetrained but might still have an occasional accident. Coco likes to sit on the back porch and watch whatever happens. Casper goes outside to potty and comes right back in the house. They both love to go bye-bye and ride in the car.
Casper is 13#, Coco is 15#. They don't like being crated but don't mind being babygated in a room while you're gone. Both are 6 years old, born approximately June 1, 2008. Both dogs are very sweet and love to be near their person/people. Casper is a real cuddler; Coco is catlike and will climb on the table if you leave a chair out.
Both are fine with other dogs. Casper likes cats. Coco sometimes pesters cats simply out of curiosity. A couple of times each day, Coco and Casper will have a wrestling match just for fun. Wherever one is, the other is not far away. They are always listening for each other and like to be in each other's company. We cannot separate these darling boys. They deserve to be together because of their love for one another and their dependence on each other. Their relationship is beautiful.
