JAKE's Story...
Jake comes to us from the animal shelter in Blackfoot, Idaho where he was found as a stray. Jake is about 2 years old and weighs 40 pounds.

This is a friendly, bouncy border collie who loves people and is fine with other dogs. Jake is now crate trained. It doesn't appear that anyone has ever worked on his obedience or walking on leash. He does know how to 'sit' and 'lie down', but other than that he is a clean slate. Be prepared to provide some training if you would like to adopt this dog.

Lots of potential here! Jake just needs a committed human to show him the way.

Jake's adoption fee is $150 and includes neuter, vaccinations, microchip, collar and ID tag.

If you are interested in possibly adopting Jake, please contact Joan at findadog@hotmail.com or 208-283-9513.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JAKE, a Nampa Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Nampa, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Nampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
