Blue is a construction yard dog in Brooklyn. Originally from a "breeder", he is half Corso, half Rottweiler... a very handsome guy and friendly. He has lived outdoors all his 10 years to date, through cold winters and sweltering summers. His owners will surrender him to us and now we are looking for that special someone who is experienced, and who wants Blue as an only dog, or can foster Blue and keep him separated from other dogs (we don't think Blue is great around other dogs). A no-kid and no-cat home please. I know these sorts of homes are hard to find, and Blue is no young man. But we hope there is someone awesome out there, with time on their hands and a nice quiet home, who understands the value of a grey muzzle and can give this guy the life he always deserved, but never got. Please give Blue a retirement home. He so deserves to finally lay his head on a pillow at night.

About Red Hook Dog Rescue (NY/NJ)

About Our Rescue Group...

Red Hook Dog Rescue is run by the CPDT-KA trainer Harriet Zucker. She has decades of experience helping dogs and their owners in NYC, specifically in the Red Hook, Brooklyn area.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is $250 for young-senior dogs. Puppy adoption fee is $350. We require a short adoption application, home visit and reference checks. We are very hands-on and may require new dog owners to attend obedience lessons (easy, and fun -- and as we pay for them, free).
