Poquita's Story...
Poquita is a spunky little Chihuahua girl who loves attention and loves to play and be in the 'center of the action". She is around two years old, so there is still a lot of puppy left in her. This tiny doggie was rescued from a local high-kill shelter. She came to us with a badly healed serious injury to her back leg which left it twisted and paralyzed. We think the injury was probably due to being hit by a car or being kicked. The vet had to amputate the leg to make sure that it does not get infected and hurt Poquita further. Now Poquita is a little tri-pod, but that has not slowed her down a bit. She is full of energy and she can be quite vocal and demanding of attention. This little princess is looking for a wonderful forever home where she will be loved and pampered as she deserves to be. Adoption fee $150 (covers HW testing, spay surgery, vaccines and micro-chip); Local adopters only (Greater Memphis, TN area and surrounding suburbs); Pre-adoption home visit REQUIRED; Veterinary references required;

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poquita, a Germantown Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
