Beau's Story...
OK, who is looking for a very smart, playful, new best friend? As luck would have it, here I am!! My name is Beau and I am a very puppy-like, 2-year-old, male Weim. I was brought in to a shelter as a stray when the nice folks at GLWR took me in and started the next best chapter of my life!

I am a really playful, smart, young Weim that loves other dogs! My foster mom thinks I am hilarious because I play with toys like a cat! But speaking of cats, I have a very high prey drive and at this point, given my young age and high energy, cats in your home would not be a good idea for a Weim like me. But if you are a hunter, I may be your boy. I am a great boy that is looking for a family to take a chance on me and provide me with some time and attention to help me be the best Weim I can be. I am a sweet dog that would be good with kids, especially active ones that will run and play with me! What do you say? Are we a match?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beau, a Grand Haven Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Grand Haven, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Grand Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
