Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there!! My name is Becker. I am 1 year old and I weigh about 65 lbs.
I was originally adopted from the pound in March when I was 7 months old. My family loved me and tried to keep me, but me being the young fellow I am, was still in my puppy chewing stage and I could be destructive at times. I would chew things up when they weren't paying attention to me and sometimes I would eat the stuff I chewed up. I didn't really know I was doing wrong. I am still just a big goofy pup... Just a typical hound pup in every aspect. I am smart but still need some training. I listen pretty well, but again, HOUND! Sometimes the fun and smells get the better of me. I am WONDERFUL with all of the other dogs! I am great with all sizes of dogs! I am a happy boy! I love to play!! I am the perfect playmate for other dogs. Here at the pound, I often go in the play yard with up to 12 other dogs of different sizes and I am the perfect playmate for all of them. All of the other dogs just love me!! I am kind of a "social butterfly" so to speak. I am also very friendly with people!
My family said that I was housebroken.
I have been a really good boy here at the pound. I haven't chewed up any of my toys or my blanket, even at night when I am left alone unsupervised in my kennel.
I would do best in a home with fenced in yard so that I can get plenty of exercise.
I would also strive in a home with another playful dog to help keep me busy.
The pound advises that I be kept in a crate when I am not being supervised to help keep me in trouble.
If you're looking for a stellar dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me!
XoXo,
Becker!
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER AUGUST 5, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
