Vadar's Story...
Vader is a small dog with a big personality. He has four speeds – walking, trotting, running, and running in circles in front of you. He loves to roll around and play, and he loves all people, kids, dogs, and cats …but if it’s a bird (even if it’s twice his size) he WILL chase it. When Vader isn’t being playful, he likes to snuggle. His favorite places are in your lap or nestled under your arm. He also loves going on walks and car rides. You have to watch him, though! He wants to sit in your lap during car rides and gives you kisses the WHOLE time. You can give him an entire day’s worth of food and he will still bring you his food bowl and look up at your with those sweet, puppy dog eyes. He also has some mild separation anxiety, but it is adorable how overly excited he gets when you come home. He’s a sweet, spunky pug terrier mix that everyone seems to think is a lab pup. Vader is mostly house trained, but his foster mommy is still working on positively reinforcing his good behavior with lots of love and a few treats here and there! He is not a huge fan of his crate, but his foster mommy is working on making it his “safe place” as well. Inquire about Vader at info@forrescue.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vadar, a Homewood Pug/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Pug/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Pug/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
