My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ducky! Sweet sweet sweet 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd mix . . . Ducky came into rescue when previous owners could no longer care for him. Ducky previously lived other dogs and children, but he is not good with cats. Ducky was an indoor/outdoor dog in his previous home and is housebroken. Ducky was shot in the face about a year ago. From this Ducky lost his left eye. He lived in a rural area and was allowed to roam around the property, mostly staying on the property. He may have been on the property or wandered off, but someone shot Ducky and his owner found him on the porch bleeding. They were unable to afford the vet bills so surrendered him. (This is why we advocate fenced yards) He has no known medical issues as his eye is fully healed and causes no problems. Ducky is a happy guy who passed his behavioral test at the shelter where he was surrendered. He showed no resource protectiveness and enjoyed all of the staff's handling. Ducky is doing well and had some group play yesterday and he loved it. He's such a goof. Turns out he likes our agility equipment! This is one happy and resilient fella!! CHECK OUT MY MOVIE!!. . . . . . . . . . . YOU MUST FILL OUT AN APPLICATION PRIOR TO REQUESTING INFORMATION ABOUT ANY OF OUR DOGS. FENCED YARD REQUIRED FOR ALL OF OUR DOGS. . . . . . . . . . . If you are interested in meeting Ducky and providing a loving, forever home, please complete an adoption application at http://www.northwestgermanshepherd.org. The adoption fee for Ducky is $500.00. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care, and adoption of our dogs. Adoption fees may be tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) organization. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations and are microchipped
