My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Buddy! Buddy is an extremely sweet and affectionate pit bull who is on the bigger side, at 72 lbs. We estimate he is about 3 years old. Buddy is an incredibly fast learner. He learns commands very easily and can already “sit”, “stay”, “come”, and go “in the crate”. Buddy has also learned to wait politely for his meals, and accepts treats very gently and gingerly.

Buddy loves to play fetch and chew on his rope, but he is also very happy to snore the day away on his bed after a good walk (he is pictured above in his favorite sleeping position). His very favorite thing in the world is to roll around on his back in the grass and let you rub his belly. This will inevitably end with him falling asleep with a big grin on his face.

Buddy would be a wonderful companion to someone who wants to make him their one and only pet. He gets very excited around other dogs and it will take some work for him to learn how to ignore other animals on walks. Given his history of abandonment, this sweet guy gets anxious when left alone for too long so is hoping to find someone who can spend a lot of time with him. Given his size and his still developing manners, Buddy would be best in a home without small children.
