Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Herbert is a 2-year-old shepherd mix and such a love bug! He loves people and just wants to be loved back. Herbert has been with us for just a few days now and was comfortable from the start. He lives with a small dog and another his size. He is great with both in different ways. He tries to say hi to the smaller dog, but she is mostly uninterested so he leaves her alone. He quickly became fast friends with the labradoodle that he lives with. They love to run around in the fenced back yard and when inside they love to play wrestle. He is so gentle when playing. He does seem interested in toys and ropes, but we have yet to see him chew one up.
We are working on sit and he is learning pretty quickly. It is a bit harder when his food comes out, but he is getting better. He doesn’t seem to have any food issues as we can take food from his bowl while he is eating without it even fazing him. He is a bit excited on a leash, but again seems like he will listen and can be trained.
We have noticed that he is not happy in a crate. He will go in, but he cries. He is even more upset when the light is out when in the crate. He is perfectly fine out of the crate though! He has had access to several rooms and handles the freedom perfectly. He also has spent 8 hours alone while we were at work and handled it perfectly.
