My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Casper, he is a precious little Shih Tzu boy that although a bit shy; is as sweet as he can be! His shyness comes from lack of attention and socialization and we feel he can overcome it easily with love and attention and a good family life. He belonged to an owner who had too many dogs and could not properly care for them. We think she was trying to breed them and make money; but finally realized she wasn't being fair to many of them and so surrendered Casper to this rescue. Casper is about 2 years old and really is a small guy weighing about 7 1/2 lbs. His long coat was hanging down in his face mostly covering his eyes before he got groomed. That will cause irritation of the eyes and is most likely the cause of his tear stain. With good grooming and keeping the eyes clean and free of hair; we feel this will clear up on it's own. Casper gets along with other small dogs and has yet to be tested with cats; but will probably be okay with them. Small children would probably not be best for him as he is such a little guy himself. Casper is now neutered and up to date on all shots, is micro-chipped and on heartworm and flea and tick preventions. All he needs now is a loving Forever home.
