Mimi Van Buren's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Mimi Van Buren's Story...
Mimi Van Buren found herself in a noisy high kill shelter and was very scared. We have tried to figure out how she got there but it's beyond us. She is strikingly beautiful with her white coat and one gray ear! And she has the most delightful underbite. She's a wonderful companion and perfect in every way. She's playful with her people - especially at bedtime when she rolls over for her nightly belly rubs - she repays you with lots of kisses. Mimi LOVES to go for car rides - don't open the car door - she'll hop in and is ready to roll. She is very easy to groom, doesn't mind a bath, grooming or the blow dryer. She's house trained, calm, gets along with other dogs but prefers the company of her people. She would be fine as an only dog. We don't believe that Mimi would be a candidate for a household with small children. Mimi needs an EXPERIENCED ADOPTER that will be patient and take their time getting to know her.

Mimi is fully vetted, Heartworm negative, micro-chipped and waiting for her new family to find her. She is being fostered west of Baton Rouge and willing to travel to meet potential adopters. If you are interested in hearing more about Mimi Van Buren, please contact her foster mom at akaygibson@gmail.com. Her adoption fee is $225.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mimi Van Buren, a Metairie Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Metairie, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Metairie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Metairie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Metairie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Metairie paves the way for another one to be saved.
