Harry's Story...
**Harry is a Courtesy Post...Please See Contact Info Below**

Harry is just about 1 year old and was rescued from Chicago Animal Control. He is medium sized and weighs about 45 pounds. He had been overlooked several times by rescues because he had a terrible case of demodectic mange. Most of his hair was missing, but since he has gone through treatment and is now healthy and full of life with a full coat of beautiful brindle fur! He is such a happy guy and would love to have a playmate…canine or human! Harry is crate-trained, but would always much rather be by you…an all-around great guy! Harry is very healthy and is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested and micro-chipped. He is currently located in Barrington, IL and is in need of a foster OR adoptive home. Please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net for more information on Harry or to get an adoption or foster application sent to you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harry, a Chicago Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
