Mater's Story...
Sweet little Mater is an 8 year old Long Coat Chihuahua who has a big name for such a little guy! He was brought to us when his elderly owner could no longer care for him, and he is ready to have a new forever home where he can be pampered like he deserves. Mater was living with another little dogs and gets along with small dogs just fine. Because of his small size and older age, he would prefer to live in a home with older (teenage) children or adults only. He is looking for someone who needs a lap warmer! Mater will need a dental cleaning in the very near future, he unfortunately has very bad teeth. He knows that won't scare anyone away from adopting, he is worth it! Mater is neutered, current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to go home today! Come and meet this handsome fellow at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook, we are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mater, a Benbrook Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
