Tuna (Beach Kittens)'s Story...
Updated 8/23/2014 Marina and Coral are adopted!! Looking for kitties as calm and soothing as the ocean waves? How about a best friend that’s as fun and entertaining as catching waves or playing volleyball on the beach? Well, we are the beach kittens and we are all of those things! We were born in a home where a kindly person took in some strays during the harsh winter months and oops mom wound up pregnant. We have been in foster care since we were only 1 week old. We are now 8 weeks old and ready to become your best buddies! We’ve been told that we are super friendly and and outgoing, and love to sit on your lap and soak up attention. We love to play together and are super entertaining and silly. We would love to go to our forever homes together or with another kitty to play with. We haven’t been around dogs before but would probably be fine with the right introductions. We come fully vaccinated and combo tested. Come check us out and we can cruise the world together!

Please call CARE @ (804)-288-9797 or apply online and ask Kelsey all about us.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tuna (Beach Kittens), a Richmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
