GUEST DOG - Tess's Story...
Tess is a guest dog for DREAM, meaning we are assisting her current home in finding her a forever home. A good Samaritan, Melissa, took Tess in after learning she was surrendered to the shelter by her owner. Without further adieu....Hi my name is Tess and I am looking for my forever home. I am approximately 8 years old and weigh 42 lbs. I am very playful and love to be with other dogs. My foster mom says I have done great at her house and am very calm indoors. I am very healthy and current on my vaccinations. I am housetrained and haven’t had any accidents in my foster home; I get a gold star for behavior! I'm a little shy when I first meet people but warm up quickly. I am great with other dogs but not a fan of cats. I am good with children too! I love to play with other dogs and I especially love toys and a good bone to chew on. I do not get on furniture but I love to sit on the floor by my foster mom and let her pet me. I really love to go on walks, and I do not pull on the leash when I am walked. I am very easy to have around and would make a great addition to any family that is looking for a low-key, well-behaved companion. Won't you consider making me a part of your family?
If you are interested in adopting Tess, please contact Melissa at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss specifics.
DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
