Tucker's Story...
Howdy, my name is Tucker, I am a happy 3 year old baby boy! I came to Pug Rescue of Austin because my family no longer had the means to care for me. However, I am a very good boy with exceptional manners. I am potty trained, can sit on command, and am very smart!! My foster family has another pug that I have become fast friends with. I get along great with others! I like to run and play, but also appreciate my frequent naps cuddled up next to my foster mom. I am about three years old and full of energy. I am excited to spend the rest of my days with my future furever family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tucker, a Austin Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
