Pepper(oni)'s Story...
Pepper short for Pepperoni was picked up by animal control dragging a piece of pizza across the road. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles. Pepper is a great dog, who loves children and other dogs. He is young and playful and just happy to be out of the shelter. Pepper has been neutered, is microchipped, up to date on shots, and had a dental, so he is just looking for his perfect family. Pepper would love a home with older children who will play with him, and/or a K-9 buddy to play with. Pepper would probably do better in a home without cats, as he is very curious about them and will sometimes bark at them If interested in adopting Pepper please go to www.yorkierescueofamerica.org to fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper(oni), a Los Angeles Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
