My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

West-Side Wesley is an adorable and very friendly, one-year-old, 13-pound, white miniature poodle with a delightful temperament looking for a loving guardian.

Wesley spent a couple weeks hanging around a fire station on the West Side of Chicago. The firefighters enjoyed his company, but tried in vain to figure out where the dirty and matted poodle came from. Since he wore no collar, no tags and was not micro-chipped, they could not locate his original home.

Wesley is now beautifully groomed, and walks so very nicely on leash. He’s a loving lap dog who lets you pick him up and hold him like a baby. He rolls over and enjoys belly rubs too. Wesley is full of kisses and tail wags for everyone he meets.

Wesley is not yet trained and needs a patient dog-lover willing to housebreak him. He can bark at first when crated or left alone, so he may not do well in an apartment, condo or townhouse.

Wesley is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, fecal and heartworm-tested. If you are interested in meeting him and possibly adopting him, please contact me directly at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. His adoption fee of $300 benefits rescued pets. He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
