My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stratford is a very handsome Bouvier des Flandres mix of approx 2 yrs old and 50 lbs. He had sarcoptic mange and alopecia when we rescued him, Both skin issues are now resolved and although he still has some bare skin showing on his ears, side and legs, it is starting to grow back. He was very timid at first and took a few days for him to warm up, but now he is eating treats very gently out of my hand and has gotten into a nice daily routine. He seems to be pretty well house trained, is a little wary when you first put him on a leash and then eases up. He likes to hang out with a buddy his size and they play all of the time. He sleeps in a big doggie bed and has several that he likes to pick from. He doesn't like the little yappy dogs that get in his face and will warn them. Overall with some TLC he is going to be a wonderful dog, he seems very loyal and very smart, just like the herding dog he is. He would do better in a home with adults and older children and he would do well on his own or with a buddy to play with him during the day. He is not suitable for an apartment.
