Bob's Story...
Bob came to us as a kitten along with his litter mates. He is a very vocal cat, and likes to make his needs known. He will meow at you non stop until he gets his food. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, Bob remains another cats best friend, and not a peoples best friend. He does not allow petting though he will get without 6 inches of a person. He is not shy and wanders around his home within feet of people and strangers, he does not run unless someone tries to touch him. He just has decided petting is not for him. But, Bob is still very much fun to be around and is enjoyable company. Anyone that enjoys the company of a kitty and understands they need their space would like Bob. He is a very likable kitty. Perhaps in time, with the right person, he would prove us wrong, and we are hoping for that. But he needs that second chance. Are you that person?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bob, a McKinney Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
