To help kids of all ages celebrate Howloween, CPR is offering a special adoption fee of $295 for this adorable rescue dog!
Rusty is about a year old and ready for a home of his very own! Rusty has been in a foster home with 4 other dogs for about a month now. He is working on his manners when it comes to resource guarding. The guarding manifests mostly over toys or something he has deemed to be his toy. He is making tons of progress, but would still do better with an experienced adopter. He is a snuggler extraordinaire and would be happy to serve as your scarf for the winter months! Rusty would probably do better in a home without kids given his ability to get confused about which toys are his. His foster mom says that he has the softest coat and he can't wait to find a family that will give him as much love as he will give them!
This dog will be ready to leave our care in time for our Triple Header event weekend! CPR will be with North Shore Animal League on Friday, October 24th at Petland in Southbury, CT from 2pm-6pm. CPR will be at Petco in Fairfield, CT this Saturday, October 25th from 10am-2pm. Lastly, CPR will be at Cheshire Cat and Dog Too in Cheshire, CT this Sunday, October 26th from 10am-2pm. Pre-approval is REQUIRED to bring home a pup from Sunday's event. If you are not pre-approved then you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the events. You can apply while you are there, but the application will not be processed same day. Come meet our pups and find your forever friend!
This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $375 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368.
If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between noon and 2pm. An additional $75 fee will be added for puppies picked up from our Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. MA residents are no longer allowed to adopt from our adoption center or our adoption events due to MA regs. All MA adoptions must be finalized prior to the puppy leaving our care in TN.
