Dodger is a doll. Cute, confident and spunky, he likes to be in the middle of things! He is super smart and his foster mom thinks he would make an outstanding agility dog. Listed at the shelter as a Wirehaired Terrier, the vet thinks he looks more like a blondish Border Terrier mix. Dodger weighs 14.5 pounds and is guesstimated to be 6 years old. He is great on a leash, does well in the car and gets along well with other dogs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations including bordatella for kennel cough and is heartworm negative. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application.
You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not meet he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
