Rufus's Story...
Meet Rufus! He is a precious 2-3 year old Pekingese mix that only weighs 10 pounds. Rufus has a beautiful reddish coat that is so cottony soft that you will absolutely love to cuddle with him.
He is such an adorable boy that loves to be your snuggle bug and wants to give you lots of kisses. He gets along great with all size dogs and ignores cats. He is very playful, loves to wrestle or have a good game of tug with his dog friends.
Car rides are not his favorite thing since he gets motion sickness, so he would only want to travel when it’s absolutely necessary. He really wants a home where trips in the car will be limited and short. He loves to go on walks and to stop and visit the neighbors, so they can pet him and tell him how adorable he is.
Rufus is a pretty smart little guy, he knows “sit”, “down”, and “roll-over”. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and especially loves to be your snuggle buddy
!
Rufus is fostered in Huntsville, Alabama and is fully vaccinated and neutered. For more information about Rufus, please email info@ForRescue.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Marietta Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
