Here's what the humans have to say about me:
RAMBO is a neutered male , age approximately 9 years.
Weight: 19lbs; Height at shoulder: 16 inches; Health: excellent, all shots current, no known health issues. Heartworm prevention and Flea protection medications are given monthly; he tolerates a regular bath and is totally docile during the procedure.
"RAMBO” is so named because he is a tough little fellow and a true survivor. He was first seen over the course of a week or so during June/July 2006 running loose on a nearby cattle ranch in the company of a yellow Labrador. The good hearted ranch owner finally managed to catch both dogs and took them to the veterinary clinic in Marble Falls where I worked. We decided to bring him home.
Rambo blended in and quickly became a much-loved, even-tempered ‘member of the pack’ (that grew to 6 dogs over the course of the years). From day one, he has grown up always in the company of other dogs and also cats.
He is fully house trained (we very rarely had problems) and makes it clear when he wants/needs to go out.
Although he sometimes tends to pull when walking on a leash, Rambo is reasonably obedient and truly enjoys being out walking with ’his’ people.
Rambo never showed any signs of aggression towards other animals or any human visitors. He adores company, is not bothersome, does not beg at the table while you are eating, and does not bark persistently for no reason. Frankly, Rambo has evolved almost into a lap dog; he spends most of his time indoors (he cannot withstand heat very well). He plays with his much younger Dachshund buddy, enjoys riding in a car (both on long journeys and short hops to the grocery store). Rambo eats well, is not ‘finicky’, and has never tried to go for the other dogs’ bowl while they are still eating.
As you can see he is a perfect little dog. If you are interested in Rambo please fill out the online application on www.russellrescue.com Adoption fee is $125.00 Home visit and vet check are mandatory. Contact jolleyjames@sbcglobal.net for more information.
