Bruno's Story...
BRUNO STORY: Do you believe in miracle transformations? When Bruno reached up with his paw to ask me to help him, our organization acquired Bruno from a So. CA shelter on the day he was scheduled to be “PTS.” Check out Bruno’s “before grooming photo.” The photo says it all. Under his matted coat of hair was a very affectionate, young (1 yr. old) Maltese. When I held this sweet boy in my arms after grooming, he reached up and gave me kiss.

What is Bruno like now that he is enjoying life in a foster home? Well he likes to play with other dogs, runs in the yard, comes when called, and loves to be near his foster family. When you hold Bruno he snuggles close as if saying “You make me feel so safe and loved.”

Bruno will be at the Unleashed by Petco store this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruno, a San Diego Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
