I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Zans's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.

Zans's Story...
Please adopt me with my companion, Hannard!

Big fan of: Zans and Hannard love attention! These two silly pups can play all day long. They love to play fetch, take long walks, wrestle with each other, and work on training for treats. These energetic boys promise you will never be bored with them around!

Not a fan of: Cats. Zans and Hannard see felines as something to chase, so they would prefer a home without them.

A little more.. This wonderful pair arrived at PAWS after arriving from another shelter. It was clear that these two brothers are heavily bonded, so we would like them to stay together as a family. They are crate trained and house trained and know a few commands already. Zans and Hannard are looking for the perfect family to give them enough attention and provide them both with love.

Dream home: Zans and Hannard are looking for a home where they can stay together. They would prefer a home with an interest in training and one without cats or small animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zans, a Chicago Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
