Joey's Story...
Hello, my name is Joey. I am a very sweet two year old, about 15 pound, Jack Russel Terrier/Cattle Dog Mix. I am housebroken and can use a dog door. I am also crate trained, but I do not really need to be in one, I am a very trustworthy boy. Not a lot is known about my past, but it is clear that I may not have been treated well so I need an experienced dog owner that can help me with my trust issues. My personal space is a big deal to me when I meet new people. Once I get to know you I am full of snuggles and kisses, but I am not the kind of dog you can pick up and kiss the first time you meet me. Being a Jack/Cattle Dog Mix you might think I am bouncing off the walls, but I am really a balance of couch potato and running buddy. When you are ready for your daily run, I am right there. But when you are ready to chill out, I will curl up on the couch with you for movie night. I would do best in a fairly active home that could taking running. I would also like to take positive reinforcement training classes and/or agility classes, I am a very smart boy and am eager to please. I do know a few basic behaviors like sit and stay already, but I would love to learn more. I would do best in a home with children over 10 because I do tend to be a little mouthy. I am neutered, up to date on my shots, have had a dental, heart worm negative, and micro chipped. My adoption fee is $175. If you would like to meet me you can let the rescue know by filling out an application at http://www.softplacetoland.org/dog-adoption-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Ft. Collins Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog for sale in Ft. Collins, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Ft. Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
