CARLI's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS CARLI....and as you can imagine, it is not easy taking pictures of a little black dog! Carli is, as best we can guess, a 9.5 lb, 4-5 yr old, petite, sweet, black Maltese Poodle mix? She can be whatever you want her to be, and as long as you are devoted to her....she will be devoted to you! Carli loves her person/people. She is very submissive and kissy....and she would love to be your 'one and only' IF you are around a lot or will take her with you. She does not like being alone -- and she will let you know it! She does settle down though. She would probably be best in a home where she has a companion canine -- but she isn't necessarily interested in playing. She does love to chase the ball though! Carli loves to go for car rides and would be a great gal to accompany you to lunch or wherever you may go! She gets very excited when you come home and twirls on her hind legs with glee at your arrival! Carli is a wonderful girl who will snuggle and cuddle with you....always let you know she is grateful that you love her. Might you have a place in your heart for her? She is waiting for you!!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!

Don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on upcoming events!

See our home page for more details about our adoptions at www.LhasaHappyHomes.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CARLI, a Los Angeles Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
