Bella's Story...
Name: Bella
Breed: Schnauzer mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Female

Bella is a 3 year old medium size mixed breed dog, Standard Schnauzer mix maybe? She is about 40-45 pounds and just a gentle, quiet, submissive and humble dog who does absolutely everything she can to keep her people happy. She is so easy to have around you sometimes forget she's there. House trained, crate trained (although prefers it for adjustment only, once settled prefers loose), gentle with kids, cats and other dogs, she is a quiet girl herself seeking a calmer home who wants a lady like walking companion.

Requirements: No special requirements

This HHK9 canine has tested positive for a heartworm or tick borne disease and treatment will be done through our vet before an adoption is finalized, so that we can do our part to ensure a healthy happy dog joins your home. Heartworm treatment consists of a 2 day treatment at the vet followed by 4 weeks of restricted activity, and placement timing is on an individual case by case at the comfort level of the foster and adopter. Tick diseases are treated through oral antibiotics sent home with an adopter by the rescue.

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Minneapolis Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
