Deogi's Story...
Meet Deogi (DE- OH-GEE). I am great with kids and most dogs... I prefer them to be smaller than me.. but I usually warm up to everyone with some supervision. I am super smart and I love to be with my people. I am loyal and loving. I don't know what cats are.. the only ones I have been around were in a crate.. and I didn't pay much attention to them. I am house trained and crate trained. I would be great in agility, or as a running partner, but I am great just being with people too. Can you love me forever?
I am taking applications. I am neutered. Up to date on shots. Microchipped and on Flea and HW prevention. How can you resist this face....and to be honest.. I'm even more handsome in person. Fill out an application here: www.forrescue.net or send an email to INFO@FORrescue.net to find out how.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Deogi, a Hagerstown Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
