Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE 9/7/14: ABBY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING!
Abby is a beautiful Standard Poodle. She was rescued from a shelter where she was set to be euthanized. She had a growth on her hip that they believed may be cancer. The shelter was not going to spend the money to have it removed or biopsied, they dont have those kind of funds. Fortunately, MJ's Animal Sanctuary saw her in the shelter and we decided we could not let this girl die. We committed to taking care of her, no matter what we found out with the biopsy. Fortunately, the growth turned out to be just a cyst. We had it removed, and Abby has healed nicely. We cannot say enough about this little girl. She is such a joy! She is housebroken, fully vetted, and follows any command you give her! She loves to snuggle and enjoys sleeping on the bed with her foster mom. She is just the sweetest girl, and she has been staying with 5 other dogs at the fosters home without incident. She is definitely a princess, as most standard poodles are, and she acts very dainty. She is an alpha female and gets along great with all dogs who respect that. She would probably prefer to be an only dog, as she absolutely loves attention. She is fine with other dogs as well, tho not thrilled about sharing her humans! She doesn't get aggressive...she just looks very unhappy when she has to share! This dog will be a wonderful addition to any home. She is great with kids, and she is a very clean girl. She doesn't like to get dirty with the other dogs. She has been recently groomed. They had to shave her ears and tail this time due to the mats she came with from the shelter. If you want a dog who is well-behaved and will fit seamlessly into your household, please consider Abby. Vet estimated her to be around 5 yrs old. She likes to play. She likes toys and she is very fond of treats! She is around 34 pounds but we are trying to put some more weight on her, as she came from the shelter very skinny. f you are the person/family who can show this gorgeous girl what it means to be part of a fun, loving family, please email for an adoption application. An application is not a commitment, so email today to request one if you are even a little interested!
Interested adopters email MJsAnimalSanctuary@gmail.com to request an adoption application. Adopters are subject to reference check, vet reference, meet and greet, and home visit. Adoption fee applies.
