Leo's Story...
Hi, my name is Leo. I’m an eight month-old Maltese-Chihuahua mix, known as a designer puppy. I was born in January, and I weigh a mere seven pounds.

I’m all about being sweet and cute. I’m calm, quiet and have no aggression in me at all. You can snuggle me and romp around with me.

My foster mommy thinks I’m the gentlest boy in the world and I get along really well with my four-legged foster brother. I also get along great with cats. I’m excellent on the leash and can be introduced and play with any dog of any breed and size. With people,

I can be around children to adults, always happy to be pet and snuggled. I’m all about giving fun and love

. I’m neutered, up-to-date on my shots, tested heartworm negative and micro-chipped. Give me a loving and forever home, and I’ll give you my big heart in this cute, little body.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Long Beach Maltese/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Chihuahua for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Maltese/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Chihuahua breeders who help with Maltese/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
