Mason's Story...
12 weeks – male
Brown tabby

This little tike is about as loving and adorable as you can find in a kitten. He loves being loved…purrs like a motorboat and will seek out your pets and kisses. He specifically likes to head butt his foster mom for attention when she’s working on the computer. He’s so precious that it doesn’t take much for her to drop everything and pick him up. She feels Mason is so grateful to be alive.

Mason and three siblings were born in a Plymouth Meeting backyard. Shortly after rescue, the four kittens got very sick with an aggressive form of distemper. Their foster mom rushed them to vets several times to no avail. Three of them died after experiencing very high fevers that no antibiotic or medicinal cocktail could bring down. For some reason, Mason responded to the medicines and slowly began to recover. Now he’s a bouncy, playful, totally well kitten that’s small for his age but he’s got some catching up to do.

Mason loves other cats -- has been fostered in a home with six grown cats and lots of foster kittens. He gets on with everyone. He’s micro-chipped and fully vetted except for one final distemper vaccination due in late September. If you have been searching for a precious lap kitten that will love and adore you …Mason is your little guy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mason, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
