Cordelia's Story...
They say to leave the best for last! Well I am the last of my litter and certainly the best! My name is Cordelia and I am a 4 month old Chiweenie who is just a sweet pile of mush! Everyone I meet absolutely adores me, and for a puppy I'm pretty well behaved! That doesn't mean I get to skip puppy classes though, I still need some training and with that extra effort I will make an absolutely, indescribably wonderful and PERFECT companion. I am lovely with other animals and give great snuggles to people of all sizes. What do you think? Am I the sweet baby you have been looking for? Fill out an application at so we can schedule a meet and greet. I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. Crate trained, but still working on potty training! My adoption fee is $300.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cordelia, a Portland Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
