ROCKY's Story...
Rocky is an Australian cattledog mix, 5 to 6 years old. He weighs approximately 40 pounds.

Rocky comes to us from the shelter in Elko, Nevada where he was turned in because his owners were moving and couldn't take Rocky along. This poor dog was pretty devastated by being abandoned by his family, but is starting to come around here in foster care.

Rocky is crate trained, housetrained, good with older children and other dogs. He loves to go for rides with you will load right up for any journey. He knows basic obedience and walks well on leash. He is a most devoted companion to his foster mom and has a fun, goofy side that the whole family enjoys.

Rocky's adoption fee is $150 and includes neuter, vaccinations, microchip, collar and ID tag

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ROCKY, a Nampa Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Nampa, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Nampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
