**SPECIAL THANKS TO A DBC ANGEL FOR SPONSORING SKY WHILE SHE IS IN OUR PROGRAM**

Even though Sky isn't really a bully breed, we couldn't turn our backs on her when we found her in very poor health. We welcomed her into our program with open arms and she has made great progress ever since. She takes awhile to warm up to new people and she prefers to stick to the same daily routine. Sky loves to do zoomies around the yard and play with other dogs. She has not been tested with cats or children. She is about 3 years old and weighs 40 pounds. She is learning her basic commands, crate trained, spayed, and vaccinated.

If you would like to meet Sky, please fill out the adoption application at www.dbcdogs.org

Adoption fee: $150 includes microchip, crate, vaccinations, rabies certificate, spay/neuter, 30 days of pet insurance, and 12 months of training (as needed) after the adoption is complete.

About Detroit Bully Corps

About Our Rescue Group...

Our Mission:
The foundation of our program is education. Without education on spay/neuter, breed specific legislation (BSL), training, breed specific workshops, the dog fighting culture and responsible ownership... the epidemic will never end. Rescue is a mere bandage in the overall scale of the canine epidemic. Shelters are overrun, rescues are overflowing and society is in need of education. For every one spot we fill, we turn away 50... We average 20 rescue canines at any given time. Also take into consideration we deal primarily with one breed, the American Pit Bull Terrier. The American Pit Bull Terrier comprises 90% of our rescue population. We work with canines from any and every background, whether it be a surrendered family pet, bait dogs, seasoned fighters or the abused. We are a no-kill rescue/rehabilitation. We will not euthanize a canine that meets an adoptable standard. We as a moral, ethical and objective organization will NOT adopt out a canine that is a threat to society. We are advocates of the American Pit Bull Terrier. As such we will not add to the epidemic by being irresponsible. Our approach to rescue and rehabilitation is proactive. We at Detroit Bully Corps are not just trying to rehabilitate individual canines. We are also trying to do our part to rehabilitate the overall integrity of the American Pit Bull Terrier strain of canine. Our ultimate goal is to see the American Pit bull Terrier rise above the negative stigma & once again be the “All American Dog".
