Onyx's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Onyx's Story...
Onyx is a gorgeous 7-9 month old Lab/Border Collie mix that weighs around 45lbs. She is totally housetrained, good in a crate, good with other dogs, and we suspect she will be good with kids and other cats though she isn't living with any at this time. She is a great medium energy level that likes to play when it's time but also knows how to curl up and snuggle! She is very good on a leash, doesn't pull, and responds to voice. She is also a smart girl and already knows how to sit! We think it's pretty cute that she will get a blanket, throw it up in the air and run under it! Too funny! She also has a silly side where she likes to chew on a bone in the floor and "talks to herself" while chewing. This girl will definitely keep you laughing.

Onyx is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is currently fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but is not picky about where she ends up as long as she is loved!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Onyx, a Nanuet Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Nanuet, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Nanuet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nanuet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nanuet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nanuet paves the way for another one to be saved.
