Charlie's Story...
Meet Charlie, a young male lab mix. Charlie was recently transferred to AFW from the Fayette SPCA. He is a fun loving boy and would love to spend the day running in the yard and playing with his new family. Charlie is still a puppy and will need some training and exercise when he is in his new home. He is up to date on shots, neutered, and has a microchip. Now all that's missing is YOU!

Are you looking for a fun loving new family member? The Charlie is your boy! Please call or email the shelter to arrange a time to meet him. The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2.

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Youngwood Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
